European Council on Foreign Relations

The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) is a pan-European think tank with offices in seven European capitals.〔(ECFR About )〕 Launched in October 2007, it conducts research and aims to promote informed debate across Europe on the development of coherent and effective European values based foreign policy.
ECFR was founded by Mark Leonard together with 50 European politicians, business leaders, public intellectuals and activists.〔(FT )〕 ECFR has offices in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Warsaw and Sofia and is led by its Director, Mark Leonard and CEO Dick Oosting. ECFR's Council brings together over 160 influential Europeans from 27 countries.
==National Offices==
ECFR has offices in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Warsaw and Sofia, with London serving as headquarter. When ECFR was founded in 2007, the Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris and Sofia offices were opened at the same time. The Rome office was opened in 2010, the Warsaw office in September 2011.
